Luka Dončić, born on February 28, 1999, in Ljubljana, is a Slovenian basketball player who plays as a point guard. Standing at 2.01 meters tall, he currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA and the Slovenian national team. Dončić began his career in Slovenia before joining the youth academy of Real Madrid in Spain. He made his debut with the senior team of Real Madrid in 2015, becoming the youngest player in the club's history to play for the first team. In 2018, he won the EuroLeague title with Real Madrid and was named the EuroLeague and Final Four MVP. The same year, he was selected as the third overall pick in the NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks but was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. In his rookie season, he won the NBA Rookie of the Year award and was selected for the All-Star Game in his second season. He has also represented Slovenia internationally, winning the European Championship in 2017.
